today is the 23rd of August. the month is coming to an end, the weather has been cold. but the lenses are hot. hot with camwhores. haha.

this morning/afternoon- thanks B for your uh, supposed 'breakfast', which killed your own appetite. LOL. went to raffles city to take a walk (one which I haven't done in at least a week). bought stuff at the Island Shop- dress at 70% off (u.p $89), 50% top ($59). went to expo to pick up tickets for the summer festival at the japanese school.

it honestly wasn't too bad. sadly the rain killed the purpose of pretty decorations such as lights and lanterns. it was rather small scale- the food outnumbering the game stalls. we played games like hooking the balloon from this fragile hook, the 'goldfish' game, lucky draw, fortune telling :) ate yummy curry rice. the japanese food was delish! wasn't too expensive. the japanese girls in yukatas looked nice; especially the little kids in their yukatas. super cute and adorable! but compared to those poser singaporeans...omg, renting a yukata when you can't pull it off= a complete eyesore. it was sooo crowded, like chinatown during chinese new year. nonetheless, it was an interesting experience. makes me remember why I dislike some things in my life at the moment :/

btw, we didn't queue like faithful singaporeans (it was super long). we decided to stand like 10m away since it was raining. and this bunch of ah lians were like staring at us and one asked her friend 'are they japanese'. I don't know if that's a compliment or not, but whatever. so when they opened the gates, we kinda just slot ourselves in and saved ourselves all that hassle :)

anyways, was accompanying karms while she waited for her parents to come and decided to camwhore. we played 'act the line'. in some cases, it IS very UNGLAM...and you'll find some of karm's poses similar, which is pretty funny.
